THE GET UP AND SOUTH OF THE BORDER CONFIRMED FOR FUNKFEST, JULY 24TH
This is going to be an amazing night of funk at the Steamboat Tavern, Ipswich. The Get Up are a talented, gritty, hammond funk band from Essex and Surrey who are bound to blow people away with an electifying set of retro-jazz/funk. And we're talking a proper hammond organ with Leslie amp here - no synth replica! South of the Border will need no introduction to FunkFest regulars - these stalwarts of the local music scene will be performing a set of the funky numbers from their regular set. Without doubt one of the best bands doing the rounds in Suffolk today. The night will start around 6pm and entry will cost £4 on the door which includes food. Hope you can be there.
